Shotgun style slip-ons for the Scrambler 1200 models

Desert sled vibes: Shotgun style slip-ons for the Scrambler 1200 models

[PRESS RELEASE] Famous for combining classic looks with off road capabilities, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 is popular among those who like to ride beyond the beaten paths while looking cool. To add to the desert-sled vibe, Hitchcox Motorcycles has engineered two sets of shotgun style slip-ons that add the right style and sound while shaving a significant amount of weight.

The Right Sound

When we say engineered, a big part of that is in finding the right sound to match the bike. Despite the minimalistic looks of these shotgun style exhausts, they incorporate specifically designed perforated tubes with dampening material that helps create the best acoustics. This allows Triumph’s big twin cylinder to be heard without being noisy. To bring DB levels down even further, both options for the Scrambler 1200 models come standard with removable DB-killers.

Two Different Styles

Knowing both options offer the Hitchcox Motorcycles sound, we have launched two different styles to choose from. Both styles can be ordered with an additional heat shield to increase the protective surface on the exhaust of the Scrambler 1200.

Raw Straight Cut Edge slip-ons
Reminiscing the origin of the desert sled concept, these straight cut slip-ons add to the minimalistic looks of a purpose-built off-road bike without adding unnecessary details. To ensure sound and style go hand in hand, these shotgun style slip-ons end on an uneven length to match the angle of the rear shock, and give a unique look to your bike.

Machined End Detail slip-ons
For those who look to add small details that create a big visual difference, we have engineered these shot gun style slip-ons with a machined end detail incorporated. Based on a skill we learned from engineering wastegates in formula 1, these small conical end details add visual flavor to your ride without being too obvious.

Materials & Mounting

All Hitchcox Motorcycles products are handcrafted in house in the UK. These slip-on systems are both carried out in A-grade 304 stainless steel with a brushed finish, meaning they are built to last. As part of our “Ready to Ride” catalogue, they are a direct replacement for the stock mufflers and come with all the necessary equipment needed to bolt them right on.

Euro 4 and Euro 5

Both options for the Scrambler 1200 XC and XE models are suitable for the Euro 4 and Euro 5 models.
