What to Look Out for at EICMA 2026?
The biggest motorcycle industry event on the European calendar is just around the corner, with EICMA taking place in Milan in the first week of November. Here’s what to keep an eye out for at this year’s show in terms of important launches, rumored prototypes and the most exciting exhibits taking place.
EICMA 2026 runs from November 3-8, starting with its traditional two opening press and trade days (November 3-4) and then four days also open to the general public (November 5-8). First held in Milan early last century, it has become arguably the world's most prestigious motorcycle industry event, now attracting manufacturers, service providers, suppliers, distributors, retailers, media, professional riders and motorcycle enthusiasts from across the globe.
More than 600,000 people attended EICMA 2025 over six days. This year's event is set to break new records in terms of attending brands, and visitor numbers are expected to follow the trend.
EICMA has already confirmed 754 exhibitors representing an incredible 2,120 brands from 52 countries, with the show occupying more than 300,000 square meters over ten halls at Fiera Milano Rho.
We’ve already covered how to make the most of attending motorcycle industry shows when you’re not an exhibitor and also how to network in the motorcycle industry, including tips on how to prepare for attending a show such as EICMA.
But what about the specifics of making the most of this year’s EICMA show and how to keep track of what the main highlights are during the event? We’ve picked out a few key happenings to keep your eye on in Milan, at this year’s huge gathering of motorcycling’s great and good.
KTM's Return to the Spotlight
KTM will be one of the manufacturers to watch particularly closely at EICMA 2026. Following a turbulent period for the Austrian company, which faced serious financial difficulties in 2025, KTM is returning to Milan under the theme Back on the Grid.
The manufacturer has bounced back with impressive growth and a return to profitability in the first half of 2026 and has promised a first look at upcoming developments across its motorcycle range at EICMA, with a particular focus on off-road performance. Specific details remain under wraps, but KTM's renewed presence at EICMA will be closely watched by dealers, industry professionals and riders keen to see what comes next for the brand.
You’ll find KTM in Hall 22 at stands E05, E08, E28 and S05. With MotoGP’s revolutionary new 850cc era commencing in 2027, it will be interesting to see whether KTM and the other participants in the premier class of the World Championship - Aprilia, Ducati, Honda and Yamaha - have their new Grand Prix prototypes on display in Milan.
Indian Motorcycle’s New Ownership = New Models?
Indian Motorcycle will make its first EICMA appearance under new ownership, following its acquisition by investment firm Carolwood early in 2026 and the appointment of former Harley-Davidson executive Mike Kennedy as CEO.
The American manufacturer will provide a business update at a press conference on November 3 at 11:45 a.m. in Hall 22 at Booth 195. The brand could also take that opportunity to unveil major new 2027 models and upgrades. With sales growing across several European markets, including Germany, Spain and the UK, Indian's renewed international ambitions will certainly be worth watching closely.
Other Possible New Model EICMA Unveilings
RocketMan is a well-informed YouTube motorcycle reviewer who has tested more than 150 bikes in seven years of running his well-produced channel. So he knows his stuff. In his detailed video looking ahead to EICMA 2026, he ran through 20 new motorcycles he believes could hit the market in 2027.
He speculates that models such as the anticipated Royal Enfield Himalayan 750, the BMW F 450 R roadster, the Aprilia Tuareg 457, the Honda V3R 900 and the Triumph Daytona 800 could be unveiled at EICMA 2026. Nothing has been confirmed 100% from those manufacturers at the time of writing, so it is probably a case of keeping a checklist of what you’d most like to see and staying alert to further press conference announcements ahead of the show.
Electric Motorcycles and Urban Mobility Take Center Stage
Two years after Royal Enfield unveiled its Flying Flea electric motorcycle brand at EICMA 2024, electric mobility remains an important part of the show. Look out for developments from electric motorcycle specialist Zero Motorcycles and other manufacturers expanding their urban mobility ranges.
The Y.U.M. (Your Urban Mobility) test-ride area also returns, covering more than 8,000 square meters. Visitors can try over 40 electric and combustion-powered vehicles from ten participating exhibitors, free of charge.
The Chinese Contingent at the Forefront of Innovation
The Chinese motorcycle manufacturers will again be among the most interesting brands to watch at EICMA 2026, as they continue expanding their international presence.
Established names such as Kove, CFMOTO, QJMOTOR and Voge, alongside newer brands like ZXMOTO, are increasingly competing with traditional American, European and Asian manufacturers.
For industry professionals, it's worth paying particular attention to their latest products, brand presentation and growing European dealer networks, as Chinese manufacturers move further into premium and high-performance motorcycle segments.
MotoGP, WorldSBK and Dakar: Three Major Racing Attractions
Motorcycle racing will have an enhanced presence at EICMA this year, with the special Speed Legends exhibition in Hall 22 showcasing more than 30 historic MotoGP motorcycles alongside machines from the current championship. With MotoGP now owned by Liberty Media - the same company that owns F1 - and with the new 850cc motorcycles hitting the grid in 2027, it’s an exciting time for the series.
WorldSBK will bring its The Garage concept to the show, while the Dakar Rally returns with historic and modern rally bikes and interactive exhibits. So for racing fans, there will be plenty of legendary machinery and star names to look out for.
The Champions Charity Race Legend in the MotoLive area on Saturday, November 7, and Sunday, November 8, will bring famous riders back onto the track, as names including Troy Bayliss, Marco Melandri, Stefan Everts and Toni Bou are expected at the show.
MotoLive, ADV Riding and New Industry Players
In addition to the static racing exhibits and the Champions Charity Race Legend, there will be plenty of live action at MotoLive, with more than 60,000 square meters dedicated to racing, Freestyle Motocross and Trial demonstrations.
Elsewhere, the EICMA Adventouring area in Hall 22 will focus on the ADV and Touring scenes, while the Start-up Area will showcase emerging businesses and innovative technologies from across the industry.
Follow Social Media Channels Before and During the Show
Be sure to check out the official EICMA social media channels on LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook and Instagram ahead of the show and keep an eye on them once the exhibition gets underway.
Those channels will provide news of what’s happening in the final few days building up to the show and the EICMA Instagram account in particular is useful for Stories, Live and Near Live content during the show, highlighting the big names present and the biggest announcements being made. That’s easier than following every post from hundreds of brands and media accounts to stay abreast of the biggest developments on the fly.
Motorcycle Marketing founder Thalassa van Beek will be in Milan from November 2-4, so if you’re attending EICMA and would like to meet up for a coffee and a chat, you can reach out to her directly.
